Billable Hours privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Billable Hours runs entirely in your browser. Your time entries, client list and settings stay on your device. No account, no analytics, nothing is sent to any server.

What the extension does

Billable Hours is a free Chrome extension for freelancers. It runs a timer, records time entries against your clients and shows the running timer on the extension's toolbar icon.

Data we collect

None. The time entries, client names and settings you enter are saved on your device only. The extension has no account and no sign-up, includes no analytics and makes no network requests. Nothing is sent to NUVIX or to any third party.

What the extension accesses locally

The extension only works with the information you type into it. It does not read or change the web pages you visit and does not track your browsing.

Where data is stored

Everything is kept in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. Nothing is stored on a remote server. Removing the extension removes this data.

Permissions and why each is needed

Nothing else is needed. The definitive permission list is shown by Chrome on the extension's install screen.

Third parties

None. The extension does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect or transmit any data in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
