Terminal Theme for Perplexity privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Terminal Theme for Perplexity runs entirely in your browser and collects nothing. It only applies a stylesheet. No account, no analytics, nothing is sent to any server.

What the extension does

Terminal Theme for Perplexity is a free Chrome extension that restyles perplexity.ai as a green-on-black retro terminal. It does this with CSS only: it applies a stylesheet to the page and changes nothing else.

Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, store remotely or transmit any personal data. It does not read your prompts, responses or any other page content, has no account and no sign-up, and includes no analytics. Nothing is sent to NUVIX or to any third party.

What the extension accesses locally

The extension applies CSS on perplexity.ai. It does not read your conversations or any other page data. Its only action is to style the page you are already viewing.

Where data is stored

The extension keeps a single on/off preference in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local), on your device. Nothing is stored on a remote server. Removing the extension removes this preference.

Permissions and why each is needed

Nothing else is needed. The definitive permission list is shown by Chrome on the extension's install screen.

Third parties

None. The extension does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect or transmit any data in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
